Choose a defensible loop

The best horde position is not always the corner with the most cover. Choose an arena loop with two exits, a visible spawn lane and enough room to kite specials. Your squad should be able to rotate before the current position is overwhelmed.

Hold the first wave from a stable lane and learn where enemies enter. Spend the opening minutes mapping the arena instead of burning every ability for speed.

Stagger tools across waves

Use one control tool per escalation and keep the strongest ability for the wave that includes space-denying specials. If every player uses an ultimate at once, the room looks safe briefly and then collapses when the next spawn arrives.

  • Reload during the quiet seconds between waves.
  • Rotate before enemies reach melee range.
  • Call the next position before leaving the current one.
  • Save one emergency revive tool for the final escalation.

Score and survival priorities

Kills matter only when they protect the arena. Stop chasing stragglers, focus specials that block movement and take the safe reward over a risky extra wave when the squad is low on healing. Consistent survival is the fastest route to better records.

Frequently asked questions

Where should the squad stand?

Choose a position with a fallback route, visible spawn lanes and enough space to move together around specials.

Should we save abilities for the end?

Save one emergency tool, but stagger the rest so every dangerous wave receives meaningful control.
