Collectibles & Lore Log Guide: Search Every Mission Efficiently
A search route for hidden logs, collectibles and optional rooms without turning every campaign run into a slow crawl.

Search after the room is safe
Collectibles are easiest to find when the squad treats exploration as a separate phase. Clear the encounter, reload and then sweep the room perimeter before advancing the next trigger. Searching during a wave causes missed items and unnecessary downs.
Look for side corridors, maintenance alcoves, consoles and rooms that sit just outside the objective marker. The main route is often intentionally obvious; the collectible route usually branches before a locked door or lift.
Keep a route checklist
Use one player as the route caller and mark each cleared branch with a verbal note. Do not have all three players search independently. A two-person sweep with one player watching the return path is faster and protects against surprise spawns.
- Sweep the room before activating the next objective.
- Check behind consoles, crates and environmental cover.
- Record the mission and room name when an item is found.
- Finish the combat objective before opening optional side doors.
Replay for completion
Separate a completion run from a speed run. On a collectible attempt, choose sustain and ammo efficiency over maximum damage, then leave the mission after confirming the log registered. This prevents a full replay when the final item was collected but not recorded.
Frequently asked questions
Do collectibles respawn?
Treat each collectible as a campaign record and check the collection log after pickup rather than relying on a second spawn.
Can I collect items in co-op?
Coordinate the pickup and confirm the squad knows whether progress is shared or individually tracked on your platform.
